Though
the next iPhone isn’t set to be released until September which is about
five months away, there are speculations as to how the phone will look
and what will differentiate it from the iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus.
Based on speculations, it seems the most
distinguishing feature the iPhone 7 will have won’t be the appearance
but the camera feature.
According to Ming Chi-Kuo of KGI
Securities, the next iPhone may be so significantly different from the
iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus that it wont be named the iPhone 6s as many
expect but iPhone 7. He also believes that the next iPhone will come in
two sizes and the sizes won’t be any different from the iPhone 6 and
iPhone 6 Plus as Apple are likely to stick with 4.7 and 5.5 inch
screens.
According to the Wall Street Journal,
Apple are currently experimenting with a new pink colour but there is no
evidence as to whether or not this colour will ever come out but that
it could come out in the next iPhone. WSJ also suggests that apple had
recently purchased renowned Israel-based camera company LinX for $20
million.
LinX is believed to be working on
a technology that could help reduce noise and also help the iPhone take
clearer photos in low-light conditions, among other improvements. They
could go as far as adding 3D camera effects to the photos and it might
have a duo camera which essentially means the phone would come with more
than one camera sensor so it could capture depth-of-field images not
unlike the camera on the HTC One M8.
The new iPhone 7 will come fitted with
the iOS 9 pre-installed. The iOS 9 is the latest of Apple software. We
expect to learn more about iOS 9 in June at Apple’s Worldwide Developer
Conference.
